Burgar Hill

A visit to the Burgar Hill windfarm including a presentation by Melissa Spence and a chance to look around (weather permitting).

We have a 17 seater mini-bus booked for this trip. Mark Kirkbride has kindly agreed to drive it.

Timetable

14:45	Leave Deerness after picking everybody up. Let me know where you want to be picked up.
15:25	Arrive Burgar Hill
16:55	Leave Burgar Hill for Merkister
17:15	Arrive Merkister in time for meal at 17:30
19:15	Leave Merkister for Deerness
19:55	Arrive Deerness. Let me know where you want to be dropped off.)

Update (Sun 2 Aug 26)

Everything is ready for our outing to Burgar Hill tomorrow (Mon 3 Aug). The Merkister Hotel has a note of your menu choices and will be ready to serve us as soon as we arrive there. (Those who have ordered half portions will be charged £25 instead of £33 for two courses.)

The bus will pick you up between 2:30 pm and 2:45 pm. It will leave Soligeo at 2:30 pm go up the Geo Road to the main road, along to the shop, down Newark Road, along Quoys Rd, down Aikerskaill Road to Willie’s house, back up Aikerskaill Road to Lighthouse Corner, along the main road again to the hall and then out to Evie and Burgar Hill, picking up any we missed on the first pass.

The forecast is looking rainy. We can easily divert down to your front door so you don’t have to stand in the rain. I’m not familiar with all your houses so I might need directions.
